Job Title : Angiographer
Pay rate : $80.00 - $85.00 / per hour
On Call Rate : $5
Overtime / Holiday / Callback Multiplier : 1.25 X bill rate
Length of Assignment : 13 weeks, with option to extend.
Client Location : Murray, UT
Schedule Notes : 4 X 10s Days + On-call
Duties :
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Prepares patients for exam using appropriate body mechanics.
- Identifies proper exams based on patient need and utilizes correct exam techniques.
- Produces quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment / instrumentation.
- Follows proper patient identification protocols.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Maintains work area and stocks needed supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Develops specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
- At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
- Understands and applies principles of x-ray generation and safety.
- Understands and demonstrates the correct operation of imaging equipment.
- Provides patient education, as needed and assures patient comfort.
- Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
Required Education :
HS diploma or GEDRequired Certifications & Licensure :
ARRT registrationState of Utah Rad Tech License.Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Must have Vascular / Interventional radiography certification, or one year of Angio / Interventional experience.Preferred Certifications & Licensure :
ACLS or PALS certification.
