Job Title : AP / AR General Accountant
Location : Tungsten Parts Wyoming, Laramie, Wyoming
Position Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AP / AR (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable) Accountant to join our team at Tungsten Parts Wyoming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. This role is integral to maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering relationships with vendors and customers. The AP / AR Accountant will collaborate closely with the finance team, production, and other departments to support the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accounts Payable (AP) :
- Review, process, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvals.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies with purchasing or receiving departments.
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and manage the weekly check run or electronic payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
- Reconcile vendor statements and manage relationships with vendors to resolve payment issues.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) :
- Process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely billing in accordance with agreed terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up with customers on outstanding invoices, and escalate overdue accounts as necessary.
- Post customer payments (checks, wire transfers, credit cards) and apply payments to the correct accounts.
- Work with customers and internal departments to resolve invoice disputes and discrepancies.
- General Accounting & Financial Reporting :
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries related to AP / AR.
- Prepare and maintain reports on cash flow, aging of accounts payable / receivable, and other financial metrics.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to AP / AR transactions.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies regarding financial procedures and reporting.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support :
- Collaborate with the purchasing, sales, IT and production departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining AP / AR procedures and enhancing overall efficiency.
Working Conditions :
This position operates in a professional office environment located within a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to visit the production floor and must adhere to all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications :
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.1+ years of experience in AP / AR or general accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications :
