Wanted - Music Coaches, Music Educators, Musical Rockstars

Heid Music’s Rock University is seeking coaches with experience in rock, folk, and / or pop music to work with music students on rehearsal techniques, song selection, final concert preparations, and additional aspects of forming a band. These are independent contractor positions where coaches work with young rockers between the ages of 11-18.

Coaches assist music students in preparing three cover songs and one original song. Coaches will also have the option to teach at least one class related to creating a band, ranging in topics from songwriting to marketing. Coaches can expect to spend approximately 30-40 hours working with bands during camp week, and an additional 3-7 hours on pre-camp planning (entrance exams, student placement, etc.)

  • Camp Dates : August 4–8, 2025
  • Hours :

Pre-camp planning (mid-July) : 4–8 hours To be scheduled based on coaches availability

  • Camp week : ~8 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM (Mon–Thurs); ~8 : 30 AM – 9 : 00 PM (Friday)

    • Preferred experience / requirement :

  • 3 years of school or private lesson teaching experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor of Music in education / performance / composition (not required)
  • Past or present experience rehearsing and performing with a band
  • Background checks must be completed to coach (required)
