Job Title : Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm-12 : 30am, Monday through Thursday) with occasional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. This role involves assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies in accordance with customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements.
• Complete data gathering to facilitate assembly progress.
• Set up and run shop equipment, such as squeezes and precision measuring tools, including drill motors and countersink cutters.
• Troubleshoot and look for process improvements.
• Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.
• Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies.
• Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled, with exposure to vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Employees must wear steel toe boots. This is a full-time position with expectations for physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 / hr.
