How will you make a difference?

The Time And Attendance (Payroll) Lead will be responsible for oversight and leadership of Workforce Management process, policies, and pay practices in accordance with Wabtec policies. Maintains a high standard of quality and accuracy by being proactive in managing time transaction submissions to meet all payroll processing deadlines. Requires a detailed-oriented individual with significant knowledge of workforce management, HRIS, compensation, and payroll administration. The Lead Time Partner will also drive process and technology improvements that result in efficiencies and increased precision across enterprise time and pay.

What do we want to know about you?

  • University degree with 8+ years of relevant Time and Pay experience or equivalent combination of education and / or experience
  • Proficiency in workforce management applications such as UKG Pro WFM, ADP Workforce Manager, and Workday Time.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage WFM activities in support of complex labor policies and legislation.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing and union environment.
  • Must adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with a strong customer service orientation.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Ensure the day-to-day time management responsibilities are executed accurately and in a timely manner which include but not limited to timecard validation and approval, balancing WFM totals, exporting time data, importing time data to Workday, historical time corrections, payroll processing results approval, and internal & external audit requests.
  • Continuously evaluates and drives data quality improvement, process improvement, standardization, and automation to create capacity.
  • Drives results on projects, operational and transformation goals in rapid cycle environment.
  • Develops, maintains, and publishes KPIs showing the health of time processing that drives opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborates with Payroll Director and team leads on short and long-term payroll strategy.
  • Proactively collaborates and influences partners and other stakeholders to address issues with impacts beyond WFM based on knowledge of HR Systems, HR Analytics, Compensation, Finance, and Internal Audit.
  • Leads, trains, sets expectations, upholds operational standards and manages performance for direct reports.
  • Solves complex problems impacting the business and provides SME support to team for complex errors and time processing issues.
  • Ensures pay practices and pay policies are compliant with wage & hour laws, federal & state regulations, and company policy & procedures.
  • Manages HR Service Now ensuring timely resolution and follow up by team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
