Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN in New York with Epic experience and necessary advanced certifications.

Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department with both adult and pediatric patient populations

Mixed / shared acuity levels with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5

Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 15 : 00 to 03 : 00

Every other weekend is required

Floating required when census warrants

Epic charting required

Primary responsibilities include delivering emergent care, medication administration, multisystem support, and emergency interventions to diverse patient groups

Scrub color is any combination of navy and white

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Minimal RTO is requested; all time off must be requested up front

Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs

Modules must be completed prior to start and may require up to 10 hours of completion time

Return staff must have at least 1 year since last assignment at this facility

Three call-off shifts are permitted per 13-week assignment

Requirements Active NY RN license in hand is required

Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Experience with Epic EMR required

Proven ability to perform in high-acuity settings including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction / failure management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CVA management, and isolation precautions

Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
