The Radiology Technologist performs x-ray scans of
patient's internal anatomy to aid physicians in diagnosing
illnesses, diseases, or injuries. Executes radiologic services in
compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provides
consultation advice to patients and radiology professionals.
Appropriately positions radiographic equipment or x-ray film to
produce images with necessary detail or contrast in order to assist
with diagnosis and treatment. Implements and monitors local, state
and national regulations, standards, requirements and clinical
protocols for radiologic imaging services. Maintains x-ray
equipment by performing scheduled cleaning / tests and documents
results. Maintains and updates patient and study information to
ensure billing and RIS / PACS accuracy; Performs other related
technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist,
supervisor or manager, including those related to quality assurance
and / or control. Graduate of an approved American Registry of
Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or current validated
Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). Work Shift
