Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience, ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certification. Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital that is a Level I trauma center and Magnet facility Assignment is in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Patient population is primarily middle and older adults Caseload includes cardiac stent placement, implant closure devices, left / right heart catheterization, IABP, PCI, PTCA, Rotablader athrectomy, and scrub procedures Shift is 3x12 hour days, 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM 2–3 weekend shifts required per contract On-call is required as needed No floating outside designated department Cerner EMR experience is required Responsibilities include setup and operation of equipment, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and use of isolation precautions Scrubs are provided by the hospital Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment falls on those dates Orientation includes completion of virtual modules and badge photo within the first week No prior employment in permanent or PRN roles at the hospital within the past 12 months Parking is provided at no cost with permit process during orientation First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab Active Illinois state license required if applicable Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS (AHA or Red Cross only) Proficiency in procedural responsibilities including cardiac implant closure devices, stent placements, cardiac catheterizations, IABP, PCI, PTCA, and scrub procedures Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and apply sterile technique and infection control procedures Experience with Cerner charting system required SSN and DOB required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-596895.
