Purchasing Manager
Working as the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for executing, achieving and maintaining quality and efficiency standards of the location based purchasing processes and expectations through strong leadership and effective management, while supporting organizational priorities and contributing to the strength of the company's financial position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Communicates with key team and management associates relative to purchases consistent with needs and specifications.
- Ensures weekly inventory is correct and there are no errors before submission
- Negotiates pricing and purchase goods and ensure delivery in a timely manner.
- Reviews shipments to ensure products received are consistent orders.
- Compiles monthly reports
- Works with Excel and Visual Basic to manage inventory
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum of Associate's Degree preferredMinimum of three years related experience in fieldMust have full knowledge of purchasing procedures, food, beverage and printing productsKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and ordering systemsGood knowledge of food and inventory trends with a focus on operationsP&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirablePossess accurate data-entry skills, computer skills, and be detailed oriented with great organizational skillsKnowledge of school nutrition / food industry and / or purchasing strongly preferred.Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the InternetServ Safe certified highly desirableAssociates at Morrison Healthcare are offered many fantastic benefits.
