Professor - Education - North Campus

PRIMARY FUNCTION : Faculty members are expected to be effective teachers, to maintain current knowledge in their fields, and to have pedagogic skills that are appropriate for our students. While teaching is the focus, faculty members are also expected to continue development of their knowledge and skills, to contribute to the community of scholars, and to represent the College in the community. All employees of San Jacinto College are expected to demonstrate the values of the institution.

• Demonstrates high standards-academic and professional.
• Evaluates student work constructively and provides timely feedback.
• Teaches at times and locations that meet student needs.
• Provides access to students through posted conference hours, electronic communications, and other appropriate methods and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Reviews, evaluates, and recommends student learning materials.
• Develops and uses a syllabus and course information materials for each course, laboratory, or clinical setting within state, college, and departmental guideline

Note : Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location
