POSITION DESCRIPTION

The main duties include, but are not limited to :

• Plan, develop, implement and administer a variety of broad or unique programmatic, technical or administrative functions in direct or indirect support of operations,
• Provide immediate level guidance, work direction, oversight, and leadership to a functional work group(s), section or unit in an operations or operations support capacity,
• Act in a lead capacity and may direct the work of both exempt and nonexempt employees in a non-supervisory capacity.
• Perform a wide variety of complex, advanced and diverse functions in direct or indirect support of operations in the area, department, section, unit or work group assigned
• Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives,
• Exhibit competency at the highest technical or programmatic level as demonstrated through both personal expertise and the effective direction and leadership of assigned work group,
• Provide centralized control of a program or process that supports operations,
• Interpret and communicate programmatic, technical or process changes to operations personnel,
• Generally acknowledged as the highest level subject matter expert in a staff position for the general function or area supported,
• Monitor and assess operations-related evolutions in facility systems or equipment,
• Ensure the safe and optimally efficient operation of facility systems and equipment,
• Perform periodic reviews and assessments to ensure facility systems are operating properly and are being maintained within required limits,
• Maintain a comprehensive awareness of scheduled or anticipated work evolutions or other related operations support activities that could impact facility operations on shift / area of responsibility,
• Identify causal factors and develop recommendations to mitigate adverse trends and to enhance positive trends.
