This opportunity is for a full-time School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Sterling Heights, MI. This contract position lasts for a full semester and requires 35 hours per week, including time allocated for paperwork, planning, and indirect work. The role is onsite and tailored to provide psychological services across a range of grade levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to develop effective student support plans
  • Implement strategies for student engagement and behavioral interventions
  • Manage caseloads while adhering to Michigan-specific laws and regulations, including MARSE guidelines
  • Evaluate English Language Learner (ELL) students using culturally relevant methods
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and documentation required for compliance and educational planning

Desired Qualifications And Experience

  • Active Michigan School Psychologist License, or willingness to obtain one
  • Familiarity with Michigan's MARSE regulations and legal requirements related to special education
  • Experience working with ELL students and diverse student populations
  • Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and problem-solving within educational settings
  • Ability to balance direct service delivery with indirect duties such as planning and paperwork
