Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Kearney, NE 68845 (Nebraska healthcare jobs) Facility Type : Acute Care – Medical-Surgical Unit Assignment Start Date : November 3, 2025 Assignment End Date : February 2, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (travel nurse night shift) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,880 - $2,020 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Unit Size : 23 beds Patient Ratios : 1 : 6 max (Days M-F : 1 : 5) Charting System : EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state (Nebraska RN jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Ability to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Med / Surg assignments (unless telemetry trained) Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills Flexibility to work holidays (may not request more than one holiday off during contract) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC electronic health records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Float to PCU as needed for Medical-Surgical assignments Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical training Why Choose a Travel Nursing Job in Kearney, Nebraska?
