Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality instruction to undergraduate level English and Communications classes in a hybrid format (11 in‑person sessions per week, remainder asynchronous).
Teach courses as assigned from a pre‑designed curriculum and utilize professional expertise to provide high‑quality instruction.
Enhance curriculum using technology and videos.
Arrive on campus at least half an hour prior to in‑person sessions.
Utilize online learning platform to enrich student learning experience.
Be available via email, phone, text, and office hours to provide timely feedback and support student success.
Establish high standards and communicate evaluation criteria.
Adhere to university policies and procedures.
Attend faculty meetings and required workshops or training.
Job Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and overall computer skills.
Knowledge of academic evaluation.
Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective time management skills.
Work Experience
Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience preferred.
Evidence of professional or academic experience with oral communication, active listening, persuasion, and collaboration.
Education
Master’s degree in Communications, English, or English Education required OR
Any Master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter hours of graduate coursework in Communications, English, or English Education required.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).
Other Requirements
Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s).
Must lift 25 lbs.
Typical office setting; mobility needed.
Travel via plane, car, metro may be required.
Must work >
40 hours per week when needed.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality essential.
Other essential functions are subject to modification.

Compensation
$2,300–$2,600 per online assignment per quarter; $3,000 per on‑campus assignment per quarter.
