American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years level I or II trauma OR experience and current ARRT and AHA BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital-based diagnostic radiology position with assignments in ER or ORCare for a mixed population including young and geriatric patientsShift is midnights from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM with every other weekend rotationAssigned to areas such as fixed radiology units and mobile / portable imaging in IPD, OR, ER settingsNo on-call or block schedulingMay float to a nearby sister hospitalEquipment includes GE and Carestream imaging systems, OEC C-ArmsUses Cerner for charting; Epic is not usedPerform radiologic procedures as ordered, utilizing appropriate technique, positioning, and safety practicesParticipate in patient care in ER and OR settings, including use of immobilization techniques and administration of IV contrast when indicatedResponsible for preparing rooms, maintaining supplies, and upholding infection control practicesMay assist in orientation or education of new hires and studentsResolve image exceptions and ensure quality image delivery into PACSCompletion of pre-employment online modules with a passing score is required prior to the start dateMust adhere to hospital team standards for communication, sensitivity, and customer serviceOccasional heavy lifting and potential exposure to radiation or contagious patients as part of the work environmentNo block scheduling available; every other weekend requiredAll orientation and ongoing learning must be completed as directed\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital with level I or II trauma and OR exposureCurrent ARRT (R) credential requiredActive MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicableCurrent AHA BLS certification requiredHigh school diploma or GED required with ongoing continuing educationExperience with portable / mobile radiographyMust be comfortable with Cerner EMR and hospital radiology equipmentCompliance with mandatory COVID vaccination is required\n Benefits\n
