job_description.job_card.job_descriptionHospital-based diagnostic radiology position with assignments in ER or OR Care for a mixed population including young and geriatric patients Shift is midnights from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM with every other weekend rotation Assigned to areas such as fixed radiology units and mobile / portable imaging in IPD, OR, ER settings No on-call or block scheduling May float to a nearby sister hospital Equipment includes GE and Carestream imaging systems, OEC C-Arms Uses Cerner for charting; Epic is not used Perform radiologic procedures as ordered, utilizing appropriate technique, positioning, and safety practices Participate in patient care in ER and OR settings, including use of immobilization techniques and administration of IV contrast when indicated Responsible for preparing rooms, maintaining supplies, and upholding infection control practices May assist in orientation or education of new hires and students Resolve image exceptions and ensure quality image delivery into PACS Completion of pre-employment online modules with a passing score is required prior to the start date Must adhere to hospital team standards for communication, sensitivity, and customer service Occasional heavy lifting and potential exposure to radiation or contagious patients as part of the work environment No block scheduling available; every other weekend required All orientation and ongoing learning must be completed as directed Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital with level I or II trauma and OR exposure Current ARRT (R) credential required Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable Current AHA BLS certification required High school diploma or GED required with ongoing continuing education Experience with portable / mobile radiography Must be comfortable with Cerner EMR and hospital radiology equipment Compliance with mandatory COVID vaccination is required High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
