The Maintenance Planner will have proven experience in all facets of manufacturing maintenance planning to support sustainable production as well as new models and / or new equipment introduction when required. He / She must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to ensure that maintenance planning responds to plant operations issues and addresses concerns that affect quality, productivity, safety, and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, planning, and scheduling skills, demonstrating the ability to be agile and responsive to plant needs and dynamics. The Maintenance planner will work very closely with the maintenance Master data planner and report to the Maintenance supervisor.
Job Duties
- Creating maintenance schedules and generating work orders in a computer based management systems CMMS
- Identifying potential issues in a proactive manner to prevent breakdowns and other unplanned downtimes.
- Maintaining parts inventory and costs in CMMS and / or Net Suite
- Working with technical staff to create procedural instructions, work procedures, policies and other documents needed for functionality of the teams.
- Estimating costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment
- Adjusting schedules to account for emergency work.
- Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders
- Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs
- Procurement of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
- Working with vendors and contractors as needed to ensure that work and activities are planned and communicated to all stakeholders in time and accurately.
- Assigning cost and time to tasks, including reviewing equipment specifications and blueprints, estimation of material and labor.
- Developing job tasks and procedures, establishing manpower and equipment requirements, assisting in specifying and ordering materials, developing schedules and charts, attending planning and scheduling meetings with assigned departmental personnel, and other work as defined by maintenance supervisor.
- Establishing and maintaining daily job status update system and identifying resource requirements to meet completion of such tasks in time and in full.
- Establishing and communicating the schedule while working with the site to optimize resource leveraging opportunities.
- Incorporating "run to run" plans.
- Ensuring proper sense is established in job scheduling (task relationships such as lead / lag, start / start, start / finish, etc.).
- Ensuring that Scheduling / Planning department objectives and key metrics are met.
- "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinating plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules.
- Executing modification in maintenance records and key equipment with significant spares during setting apt reorder levels along with quantities.
- Participating in spare parts preparation and PM Lists for new equipment, modified equipment and / or existing equipment.
Qualifications
Must have working knowledge of small capital projects, shutdowns, job completion expectations, industrial applications / machinery, Microsoft Office Suite applications and CMMS.Must be able to work in a team-oriented / safety conscious environment.Previous experience in planning / scheduling (2 years).Able to lift 50 pounds.Proficient in all aspects of conveyor maintenance.Experience in lubrication of equipment is a plus but not required.Ability to go up and down stairs and ladders throughout the day.Work in non climate controlled and outdoor environments.5+ years of experience in maintenance / equipment management / leadership role in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.Strong organizational and planning skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software.Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.5+ years' experience in maintaining and providing asset care (As Good As New philosophy) to equipment in foods manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of fast speed liquid filling (bottling and canning) in a large automated established is critical.5+ years' experience in maintaining fast moving equipment especially retorts, depalletisers, EBIs, fillers, FBIs, cappers, seamers, cartoners, laser coders, palletizers and other online equipment is critical.5+ years in development of maintenance plans including but not limited to : RCM, TPM, Predictive, Preventative, and Proactive approaches.Experience in the development of CMMS systems (Experience in FIIX and NetSuite is a plus).Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.Availability to work the off shifts.Skilled communication, mathematical competencies, organizational and issue-resolving competencies.Strong mechanical knowledge.Strong electrical and controls knowledge.Experience in team building, coaching and succession planning for technical and engineering personnel.Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
