Job Summary :
The Project Manager will accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities to meet or exceed the project goals in customer satisfaction, schedule, quality, budget, profit & bottom-line performance and job costing.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- 5+ years related construction project management experience; experience must include working with underground utilities and site development.
- Must have exceptional organization skills with keen attention to detail, deadlines and accuracy.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction documents to include drawings, bids, budgets, schedules and contracts.
- Experience writing professional business correspondence.
- Experience working with project systems including Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and HeavyJob.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills :
College degree in Construction Management preferred.Advanced to intermediate proficiency in Excel.Experience working with Finance / Accounting software systems.Key Responsibilities :
Project Management : Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle from pre-construction services, including coordination, commitments, value engineering, and estimating support, through to project close-out.Scheduling and Coordination : Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project, ensuring all project milestones and deadlines are met.Quality and Compliance : Maintain rigorous quality control on all project activities, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.Financial Management : Manage project finances, including job costing, budgeting, and cash flow projections, using tools like Heavy Bid and Heavy Job. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and cost analysis.Subcontract Management : Award and manage subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring all subcontractors meet our requirements for insurance and compliance before commencing work.Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of project progress, including regular cost reports, schedule updates, and progress payment invoices. Ensure all project documentation is current and compliant with our standards.Communication and Coordination : Facilitate open communication within the project team and with management, ensuring all project issues are addressed promptly. Prepare and distribute project communication materials like agendas, minutes, and reports.Safety Management : Enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including OSHA compliance and first aid procedures. Ensure the presence and maintenance of safety equipment and emergency response procedures on-site.Supervisory and Coordination :
Reports To : General Manager.Coordinates With : Administration / Office Staff, Estimators, Superintendents, other PM’s.Receives Support From : Other Project Managers and company Purchasing Agent.Benefits :
