Senior Project Engineer - Electrical / Transportation Projects

We are looking for a  Senior Project Engineer  to join our team in  Los Angeles, CA , supporting major  transportation and infrastructure projects  such as the  L.A. Metro Purple Line Extension . This role offers an opportunity to work on high-profile, large-scale projects with one of the nation's most respected construction teams.

Position Overview :

The Senior Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination, cost tracking, schedule management, and document control. This position is ideal for someone experienced in  electrical or transportation-related construction  who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and process  Change Proposals, Change Orders, and Owner Payment Applications .

Track job costs, prepare quantity and labor cost reports, and assist with quarterly profit analyses.

Oversee the  project closeout process , ensuring documentation and deliverables are complete.

Research and propose  quality control solutions  and verify compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications.

Support project leadership and field operations as needed.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree  in  Engineering ,  Construction Management , or related field.

10+ years  of experience in the  construction industry .

Background in  electrical contracting  or  transportation / mass transit projects  preferred.

Experience in  traffic or street lighting  projects is a plus.

Strong understanding of  contracting fundamentals , cost control, and project scheduling.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Business-minded approach with a focus on results and team performance.

Compensation :

Salary range :   $150,000 - $180,000 , based on experience.
