Project Description :

Handle WO reconciliation, mapping, meter order updates, uploading locates / permits, and restoration follow-ups. Manage leaks, update grades for foremen, verify and track repair status, readings, and cleanup. Review documentation uploads and ensure completion of job briefing forms, as-builts, permits, and locate tickets. Location : Kipling Service Center

Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support our CFO Organization, specifically, within one of our Finance departments in Denver, CO. The paid internship provides an opportunity to showcase your abilities in one of our finance groups that supports various business units throughout the company. The program provides practical work experience to develop your existing skillset, present to senior leadership, and collaborate with key internal stakeholders. Each intern will be relied upon to play a role in achieving department objectives and goals. The program will allow you to apply what you've learned in school and further enhance your knowledge through hands-on training and provide opportunities to network and learn with other interns across the CFO organization.

Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

• Participate in the monthly financial close process.
• Contribute to FERC, SEC, governmental and internal reporting.
• Learn to use various accounting and budgeting systems.
• Financial planning and analysis
• Assist with updates, data maintenance, and analysis.
• Assist with SOX control reporting.

This position is for a June 1, 2026 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship's initial term based on the candidate's successful performance and Xcel Energy's business needs.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is : $17.80 to $19.00 per hour. This position is eligible for the following benefits : Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays.
