Accord Care Community Orrville is a leading provider of skilled nursing, rehabilitation and Independent Living Service nestled in the community of Orrville, Ohio. Conveniently located between Canton and Wooster, we are currently seeking an experienced individual to address our maintenance needs!

Ideal Candidate will posses :

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance within a long-term care facility.

2. High School education or equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate with others.

3. Ability to perform assigned duties with consideration for the health / safety of the residents in the vicinity.

4. Ability to motivate, monitor, and train staff.

5. Knowledge of various tools and other maintenance equipment; understand heavy machinery, and general maintenance responsibilities.

6. Knowledge of Long Term Care, Life Safey, State, Local and Federal Regulations

6. High standards of safety.

7. Genuine interest in providing quality care and services to the residents and customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to :

1. Responsible for the overall operation / coordination of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local laws.

2. Responsible interview, select, train, supervise, and evaluate all new department employees through an orientation period and prepare employee evaluations (90 days, and annually if applicable).

3. Supervises, plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Maintenance Department including scheduling of contract work, assignments, and general responsibilities.

4. On call 24-hours / day in respect to related emergencies

5. Notify contractors as needed and coordinates services to ensure all equipment and resident care equipment / needs are met.

6. Maintain all preventative maintenance schedules and perform daily, weekly, monthly, semiannually, and annual inspections per RMHC policies and procedures and meets all regulatory requirements.

7. Clean, lubricate, and properly stores maintenance tools / equipment.

8. Make simple carpentry repairs and provide minor cosmetic upkeep such as painting.

9. Attend to all repair requisitions, prioritizing, allocating job repairs and follow-up.

10. Makes the inventories to ensure all necessary items are ordered and available for the overall operation of the Maintenance Department.

11. Monitors all electrical, safety and facility equipment, including completing of all preventative maintenance tasks.

12. Maintain department expense within the maintenance budget.

13. Participate in staff development and continuing education programs. Encourage and supervise staff’s similar participation.

14. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Program as required and a member of the Safety Committee.
