• The Critical Care Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering safe patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.\n
• Provides direct patient care, upholding the standards of care within the ICU.\n
• Oversees patient and family education and the activities of nursing staff while ensuring compliance with care standards.\n
• Communicates promptly with physicians regarding any changes in a patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and test results.\n
• Quickly responds to changes in patient condition or treatment responses while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.\n\nQualifications : \n
• Current and valid state RN License.\n
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain subsequently.\n
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.\n
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.\n
• Current ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.\n
• A minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with critical care experience preferred.\n
• CCRN Certification is preferred.\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.\n\nSt. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee provides competitive compensation alongside a comprehensive benefits package, allowing employees to tailor their benefits to fit individual needs.
