Fostering Futures  is looking for  reliable, compassionate, and motivated Youth Care Workers  to join our team in providing direct care and mentorship to youth in our residential care program. We're seeking  role models who can lead by example , help youth navigate challenges, and create a supportive, structured environment where they can grow and thrive.

This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with youth, enjoy being hands-on, and are comfortable leading by example — whether that means organizing a group activity, coaching life skills, or stepping in during a moment of crisis.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise youth and maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment.

Guide youth through daily routines : school, hygiene, meals, chores, and recreation.

Serve as a  positive role model , demonstrating healthy habits and respectful communication.

Use behavior management tools that promote growth, accountability, and problem-solving.

Support youth in handling emotions, resolving conflict, and building life skills.

Document daily observations, incidents, and youth progress.

Facilitate group activities and lead recreational outings or skill-building workshops.

Stay calm and supportive during crises; use trained de-escalation techniques when needed.

Work closely with therapists, case managers, and other team members to support each youth’s treatment plan.

Help keep the facility organized, clean, and running smoothly.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in social work, psychology, or education is a plus.

Experience working with youth in any setting (schools, camps, coaching, mentoring, group homes, etc.) is a strong advantage.

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Ability to stay composed and solution-focused in high-stress moments.

Must pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
