POSITION : Special Education Instructional Coach
JOB TYPE : Full-Time
COMPENSATION : Pays up to $61 per hour
Job Summary : Full-time position to support special education staff and students in the implementation of best practices to support skill acquisition and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Delaware License and Special Education Teacher Certification (K-12) in accordance with 14 Del. C. § 1531
- Master in Leadership or Admin Certification preferred
- Must demonstrate a firm knowledge of special education laws and requirements
- Successful completion of Praxis II exams
- Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in multi-cultural, diverse environments.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Special Education or Special Education Leadership role
- Proven ability to work well in, and contribute to a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with others
- Demonstrated proficiency in PowerSchool, and IEP regulations in support of student learning,
- Proven ability to build relationships with families and various staff members of all levels in support of student progress
- Deep Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
- Preferred experience with Mediation and / or due process cases
- Efficient in collecting, reading, and explaining data
- Experience in creating and leading professional development
- Deep knowledge of research-based practices to support special education students
- Meets all legal employment requirements.
