About the Role :

This position is responsible for accurately reviewing and / or correcting medical billing data for claims submission to insurance companies. Resolves BAR claim edits and payer rejections. Obtains and submits copies of supporting documentation. Updates patient demographic / insurance information in the host system.

Key Responsibilities :

• Reviews billing exceptions and executes necessary updates / corrections for clean, compliant submission of paper and electronic claims to third party payers.
• Resolves claim edits.
• Re-queue claims upon resolution of payer rejections.
• Reviews insurance eligibility and verifies patient account information.
• Notifies management team of clearinghouse electronic claims alerts and disruptions.

Requirements :

Position is hybrid remote. Candidates must be local.
