Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist will effectively manage the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources Department alongside the Human Resources Director, including but not limited to, training, recruiting and employment, compensation administration, organizational development, and human resource systems automation for the company.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
  • Work with the Human Resources Director on policy development and maintenance.
  • Maintain the performance review program.
  • Consult with managers and employees on work-related problems and counsel accordingly for timely problem resolution.
  • Establish, prioritize and provide solutions for organizational training needs.
  • Maintain overall supervision of the organization’s recruiting, placement and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and all other state and federally mandated regulations.
  • Direct and maintain employee activities designed to promote and maintain a strong culture and high employee morale.
  • Prepare periodic employee data reports as necessary or requested.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and other department of labor requests as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted) :

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ professional level Human Resources experience; a bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred. A combination of education and HR-related experience may be substituted.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, compensation practices, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, as well as related compliance requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to use good judgment in dealing with proprietary and confidential matters.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and possess strong work ethics
  • Experience with HRIS software
  • Pay Range :   $60,000-90,000 salary
