A leading organization in the Akron area is seeking an experienced Accountant for a contract-to-hire role supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This position offers a hybrid work structure after training and requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and contribute process improvement ideas.
Responsibilities :
Support accounts payable activities, including reviewing and reconciling transactions and accruals
Monitor and resolve outstanding transactions at month-end
Assist with accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely billing and cash application
Track accounts receivable delinquencies and serve as a point of escalation for complex customer inquiries
Perform monthly bank statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Conduct general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records; assist with periodic physical inventories
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Experience with general ledger accounting software
Fixed assets, journal entry, and reconciliation experience
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and vlookups
Pay Details : $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
