Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of vascular or interventional experience and ARRT (R) certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in an interventional radiology unit
  • Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Involvement with adult vascular and interventional patient cases
  • Procedures include angiography, SIRT mapping / treatments, embolizations, nephrostomy tube and biliary tube placements, CT-guided drains, biopsies, ablations, and Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
  • Role includes support as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologist
  • Uses EPIC EMR system
  • Responsible for completing angiography procedures including scrubbing, setting techniques, and image acquisition
  • Provides procedural assistance and maintains patient comfort while ensuring safety and radiation best practices
  • Assists with complex interventional procedures and participates in patient education
  • Coordinates care, ensures patient identification accuracy, and maintains documentation
  • Adheres to quality control programs, coding guidelines, and equipment maintenance protocols
  • Expected to maintain and restock the work area and assist with patient transportation as needed

  • Minimum 1 year of recent vascular or interventional radiology experience required
  • Active ARRT (R) certification required
  • BCLS certification from AHA required and must remain valid during assignment
  • Vascular / Interventional Radiography Certification and relevant state licensure preferred
  • Proficiency in performing angiography and vascular procedures
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, radiographic positioning, infection control, and sterile technique
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergent situations
  • License required if applicable
