Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Operating Room (OR) RN

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8H Days OR / PACU; Monday-Friday, 6 : 45 am-3 : 15 pm. On-call hours required.

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience required; experience in Outpatient Surgery (OPD), Preop, and PACU highly preferred. Experience in specialties such as eyes and endoscopy is a plus. Open to first-time travelers.

License : RN license required

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Must-Have : Experience in pre, post, and PACU settings. EPIC experience required.

Job Description :

• Work in a dynamic Operating Room team with 3 OR rooms and 1 endoscopy room.
• Average 6-25 cases per day, depending on the specialty.
• Handle common cases including Endoscopes, Cataracts, Lap Choles, Lap Appys, C-Section, Tubal Ligation, Hysteroscopy, Endometrial Ablation, Total Joints, Shoulder and Knee Scopes, Fractures, and Excision.
• Scrubbing duties not required for RNs.
• Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 10-11 days per month, including weekends.
• Provide coverage for 2 holidays a year.
• Be prepared for a 30-minute call response time.
• Float to OPD, Preop, and PACU as necessary for callouts.
• Adhere to a dress code with provided Grey scrubs.
• Initial department-specific orientation is limited to 2 days.
