Job Title : Full-time PDIS Level 2 Assistant Teacher

Date posted : September 8, 2025

Pay : $41,000.00 per year

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate full-time assistant teacher to join Mountain View Academy's supportive team. The position supports a collaborative learning environment with 3-teacher teams in classrooms for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. You will work alongside an assistant teacher and a lead teacher to help plan and facilitate a nurturing and stimulating environment.

We offer a salary position with paid time off, including 4 weeks in addition to standard PTO.

This position is in-person at our location.

The ideal candidate MUST be PDIS Level 2 certified, have experience in childcare or early childhood education, and possess a genuine love for working with young children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate the intellectual and social growth of young children.
  • Help provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Support activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist in communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of all children in your care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with preschool or daycare-aged children.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields. Must be PDIS Level 2.
  • Proficiency in first aid and CPR.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development stages for young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
