Overview
The League for People with Disabilities is seeking a dynamic Group Fitness Instructor – Aquatics to lead engaging, safe, and inclusive aquatic fitness classes in our Wellness Center pool. This is a contracted position with compensation based on a 60 / 40 revenue split—the more participants, the more you earn.
Responsibilities
- Create an upbeat and inclusive environment for all class participants
- Lead group classes according to a set schedule — punctuality is a must!
- Collect and encourage feedback through session-end evaluations
- Collaborate with the Manager of Wellness on class promotion and participant retention
- Keep certifications and skills current and aligned with best practices
- Support The League's mission by advocating for individuals with disabilities
- Demonstrate and uphold the organization's Core Values : Accountability, Participant Focus, Quality, Independence, and Mutual Respect
Qualifications
Minimum age 18Current Group Fitness Instructor CertificationCurrent CPR and First Aid CertificationExcellent communication and social skillsExperience working with individuals with disabilities is a plusWillingness to complete Hepatitis vaccine series (optional)Details
