Tack Truck Driver-Asphalt

This is a full-time position and it is seasonal. We start in April / May and work into December (weather-dependent). We do government, commercial, and residential work in Alexandria, MN, and in the surrounding area of central Minnesota and parts of the Midwest.

• Drug and alcohol testing prior to 1st day of work.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tack Truck Driver to join our Asphalt team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Asphalt, particularly with tanker and tractor-trailer vehicles.

• Responsibilities
• Drives truck to transport hot oil, burner oil or tack to and from specified destinations
• Performs daily inspection of truck
• Operates vehicle using safe and courteous driving techniques
• Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance on vehicle
• Obeys all traffic regulations
• Maintains vehicle logs, as required, according to State and Federal regulations
• Monitors vehicle performance and reports malfunctions
• Prioritize safety at all times, following company and industry safety guidelines and protocols.
• Performs other tasks as needed
• Requirements
• Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
• Valid CDL, Class A with tanker and hazardous materials endorsement required
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Current DOT Medical card
• Acceptable roadside inspection record
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities

Pay : $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours : 40 - 65 per week
