Pipe Yard Painter Helper, Coating / Stenciling

Position Summary

We are seeking a Pipe Yard Painter-Helper to support operations in painting, coating, and stenciling pipe. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physical work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved.

Verify heat numbers, quantity, and proper chocking of pipe.

Assist in painting, stenciling, and coating pipe .

Spray each pipe with lacquer; after 1015 minutes of drying time, turn the pipe and repeat.

After drying, assist the Lead in stenciling pipes to identify grade and size.

Observe all safety precautions and wear the required PPE at all times.

Cross-train on alternate assignments and assist in other work areas as needed.

Maintain housekeeping in the assigned work area.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs occasionally ; frequently exert 1020 lbs to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Requires long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching ; may involve climbing ladders or staircases.

Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).

Ability to wear a respiratory PPE mask when required.
