Patient Registration Specialist - Emergency, Outpatient & Inpatient Services Location : Indianapolis, IN

Schedule : Rotating 12-hour shifts, up to 40 hours / week

Pay Rate : $16 / hr

Duration : 6-month contract with potential for extension or hire

What You'll Do As a Patient Registration Specialist, you'll be cross-trained to support multiple areas of the hospital, including :

• Emergency Department
• Greet and check in patients arriving by foot, ambulance, or helicopter.
• Register patients at the bedside using portable devices.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Support uninsured patients and complete Medicare documentation as needed.
• Outpatient / Clinic Services
• Locate and verify patient records in the EMR system.
• Confirm insurance coverage and update demographic details.
• Assist with check-out, follow-up scheduling, and charge entry.
• Answer questions related to lab, pharmacy, or radiology services.
• Main Admitting / Inpatient
• Support services like lab, radiology, surgery, and inpatient admissions.
• Perform bedside registration when necessary.
• Provide compassionate assistance and accurate information to patients and families.
