Overview
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting system integration and process automation solutions across the college's enterprise platforms, including CRM, student information systems (SIS), and other institutional tools. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and ensuring seamless data exchange between systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and optimizes business processes to identify opportunities for automation and better system integration.
- Designs and implements scalable integration solutions between CRM, SIS, financial aid, and other institutional systems.
- Develops and maintains automated workflows and data pipelines to support enrollment, student services, and administrative functions.
- Configures and customizes CRM and other platforms to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical solutions.
- Leads efforts to reduce manual data entry and improve data accuracy through automation and validation rules.
- Assists with planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Provides technical support and training to end users, including documentation and process guides.
- Maintains sandbox environments for testing integrations and enhancements.
- Monitors and ensures data integrity, security, and compliance with FERPA and other regulations.
- Documents system architecture, integration flows, and operational procedures.
- Stays current with emerging technologies and recommends tools to improve institutional efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in systems integration, process automation, or related field, preferably within an educational institution.Proficiency working with SQL and relational databases required.Database skills and strong knowledge of database structure and relationships.Strong understanding of APIs, web services, and data exchange formats (JSON, XML).Proven ability to design, optimize business processes, and integrate business processes across systems.Demonstrated strong analytical / problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Experience with security design and configurations, testing, and assuring data integrity.Experience writing technical and end user documentation, including scopes of work, specifications, and documents representing the functional needs of end-users on technical projects.Demonstrable experience troubleshooting technical issues.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, such as executives, managers, and subject matter experts.Strong attention to detail and strong sense of customer service.Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently as well as with a team.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM software packages strongly preferred.Experience deploying solutions in a higher education environment preferred.Experience with Student Information Systems, SSIS, Informatica, or Tableau is preferred.The Davis Technical College complies with all aspects of the ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
