Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Home Health and Infusion position requiring MD and DC licensure and strong pediatric infusion skills.

Responsibilities

Work in pediatric home health settings, providing services in PG County, Montgomery County, areas of DC, and Southern Howard County

Specialty in skilled nursing and infusion for pediatric patients, including newborns through young adults

Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Patient care provided in-home, requiring travel between client locations

Use of EMR system Epic is required

Provide, coordinate, teach, and supervise care for pediatric patients in their homes

Must effectively teach and communicate with patients and families of diverse backgrounds

Must comply with Maryland law for mandatory seat belt use while driving

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate unless applying for placements in Howard County General

Experience in facilities with 500+ bed counts is preferred

Holiday coverage and weekend work details not specified

Requirements

Active RN licensure in Maryland and Washington DC

Current BLS certification (AHA required)

Valid Maryland driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable working vehicle

Minimum 3 years pediatric experience in home health infusion suite / clinic, ED, or PICU

Proficiency in starting PIVs in newborns through young adults and in managing central venous access devices (PICCs, Infusaports, Hickman)

Experience administering infusions including IVIG, Remicade, and Entyvio

Ability to provide skilled pediatric evaluation, treatment, and care per MD & DC nursing scope
