A company is looking for an Inpatient Audit Specialist to perform coding audits and provide education related to coding quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inpatient facility coding audits using MS DRG or APR DRGs
Provide rationale for coding changes and keep updated on regulatory changes
Organize and prioritize multiple cases to ensure optimal workflow and coder education
Required Qualifications
5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and / or auditing
CCS (preferred), RHIA or RHIT preferred
Maintain a 95% DRG accuracy rate
Experience with various software including Epic and Cerner
Proficiency in MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding
