American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position requiring 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience and a WA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an inpatient hospital setting within the Case Management departmentServe adult patient populations from ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER; no pediatric, L&D, or NICU patientsTypical caseload is 15 to 20 patientsUtilizes the Epic EMR system; Epic experience is requiredEight-hour day shifts, five shifts per week with required every other weekend rotationNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating may be required between nearby hospital campuses and occasional off-campus emergency departments; traveler is first to float if neededMain duties include acute inpatient case management, post-discharge planning, and resource coordination for adult patientsTeam support includes leadership, peers, and case management assistantsOrientation lasts approximately 1 to 3 days with immediate patient care responsibilities; initial shifts paired with another case manager RNBusiness casual dress code; no scrubs requiredFree parking is available on siteAt least one holiday shift is required during the contractBreaks are required during the workdayAll requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to manager approvalExtra shifts may be picked up at other facilities within the health systemFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this position\n \n Requirements\n
Current WA or compact RN licenseBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) requiredMinimum 4 years of overall nursing experience and 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredStrong knowledge in healthcare financial and reimbursement processesExperience in post-discharge planning and familiarity with providing community resourcesER and Utilization Review experience preferredCandidates with primarily pediatric experience are not eligible\n Benefits\n
