MEP Cost Estimator | Life Sciences and Industrial Manufacturing
Note : This position requires individuals to travel to Indianapolis working in a hybrid manner with 3 weeks on site / 1 week off, Monday - Friday. Alternatively, individuals will be supported with relocating to the Indianapolis area.

We are currently seeking a talented full-time Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing (MEP) Cost Estimator to support our rapidly expanding portfolio of Life Sciences and Industrial Manufacturing projects.
In this high-impact role, you'll work directly with clients and project teams as a trusted owners representative, helping to shape capital projects and real estate fit-outs. You'll be responsible for developing and managing Total Installed Cost Estimates across the full project life cycle ensuring precision, competitiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.

Responsibilities
- Partnering with Clients : Serve as a trusted advisor, working directly with clients to understand project goals and deliver cost solutions that align with their vision.
- End-to-End Cost Estimating : Lead the development and management of Total Installed Cost estimates from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and competitiveness.
- Collaborating Across Teams : Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to integrate cost strategies into broader project planning and execution.
- Data-Driven Insights : Analyze project documentation and market data to build robust cost models and support informed decision-making.
- Benchmarking & Dashboards : Create and maintain cost benchmarking tools and dashboards to track performance and support continuous improvement.
- Bid Analysis & Validation : Conduct bid leveling and validate change order requests using real-time data and industry benchmarks.
- Software & Tools : Utilize industry-leading tools like CostX and Excel to perform quantity take-offs, cost modeling, and data visualization.
- Quality & Compliance : Ensure all estimates adhere to procedures and are backed by clear, evidence-based methodologies.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent field.10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial construction with a strong focus on MEP disciplines.Proven track record working on large, complex, multi-phase capital programs in Life Sciences and Industrial Manufacturing.Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory) :
OSHA 10AACEI CCP (Certified Cost Professional)PMI PMP (Project Management Professional)RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) OR similar accreditationsTechnical Skills :
Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting (including graphs, pivot tables, and data visualization).Experience with estimating software such as CostX or similar.Familiarity with IPA (Independent Project Analysis), PDRI (Project Definition Rating Index) benchmarking and Should-Cost Modelling.Knowledge Areas :
Understanding of various project delivery methods (Design / Bid / Build, Design Build, CM at Risk).Knowledge of estimating best practices, methodologies, and techniques.Awareness of productivity factors and their impact on cost.Additionally :
