Responsibilities Work in a hospital setting with 13 ORs and an additional procedure / cysto room Handles a wide variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, spine, general, breast, podiatry, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, and plastics Average surgical caseload is 45 cases per day Uses EPIC for electronic medical records Shift is 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM Must work 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, with hours on Saturday or Sunday either 7 : 00 AM-7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM-7 : 00 AM Participates in holiday coverage on a call rotation No floating required Department is supported by OR Assistants, a receptionist, charge nurse, and 24 / 7 anesthesia coverage Orientation provided : NEO and 2 days departmental orientation Scrub color is provided by facility Free parking available on site First-time travelers will be considered for this position Requirements Current RN license, valid in state of assignment or compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 1-2 years of recent OR nursing experience required Ability to circulate in orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastics cases EPIC EMR experience preferred Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602995.
