You’re an editor who will play an essential role in enhancing our global news desk operation as readers turn to us seven days a week for business, financial and political coverage. From the West Coast, you'll help set our agenda on Bloomberg.com, as well as on mobile and the terminal. You’ll be joining our weekend team in a fulltime role, working a four-day week, inclusive of Saturday and Sunday. You’ll demonstrate superior news judgment, have experience editing stories on a variety of subjects, and be prepared to enhance our online presence.

You’ll be comfortable coordinating and publishing fast-breaking news across multiple platforms, particularly our home page, and not be afraid of leading from the front and doing everything it takes for Bloomberg News to succeed Friday afternoon to Monday morning.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit breaking news with teams and platforms
• React quickly to unexpected stories and help break news
• Display the most important stories of the day on Bloomberg.com, mobile and terminal news menus
• Be a team player and embrace a no-special-people attitude

You Need To Have

This is a weekend position. You will work four days a week, including Saturday and Sunday, with a dedicated team.
