Laboratory Supervisor (Evening Shift)

Title : Laboratory Supervisor (Evening Shift)

Location : Memphis, Tennessee.

Essential Job Duties :

Supervises testing activities to ensure repeatability and reproducibility of data while preserving productivity and integrity.

Ensures all data is recorded correctly in the appropriate data repository (LEMS) in a timely manner.

Champions a culture of excellence in the laboratory and strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's)

Maintains inventory, orders and ensures an adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment

Investigates deviations related to laboratory proficiency, methodologies or equipment

Ensures that established testing frequency is followed by laboratory technicians

Participates in the implementation of new equipment and methodologies

Participates in the monitoring of the environmental program (swabbing) as required

Periodically reviews and audits laboratory technicians testing to ensure proficiency and compliance with standard operating procedures.

Coordinates analyses done through external laboratories as required

Participate in ring tests and other proficiency tests as scheduled

Contributes to applying and coaching 5S principles in the laboratory

Performs hands-on laboratory testing as required

Takes disciplinary action as needed in collaboration with lab management

On-site position with no remote work option

Required Technical skills :

Strong knowledge of good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices

Strong understanding of and / or experience complying with ISO 17025

Strong knowledge and experience in microbiology testing
