job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide professional nursing care for pediatric through geriatric patients in the Special Care Unit Function independently within 18 months of employment Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document physical condition each shift Monitor patients for changes and notify physicians of significant findings Conduct initial patient interviews and create individualized care plans Maintain safe environment for patients and staff Initiate and document patient education plans and teaching interventions Lead interdisciplinary team and participate in utilization review Administer medications and perform treatments per hospital standards Evaluate patient progress and ensure safe discharge planning Attend 90% of Acute Care Nursing Staff meetings Participate in performance improvement activities and continuing education Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient goals Maintain greater than or equal to 95% medication barcode scanning compliance Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred Montana nursing license required Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required ACLS and NRP certifications required within 12 months PALS certification preferred Referral bonus
