Job Description

Freelance Denim Design Scope of Work :

• Collaborate daily with the Denim Team on the design process under VP, Design, direction
• Partner with Designers to develop designs after finalizing concepts with Creative Director
• Work with Head of Studio to partner with Merchandising needs and ensure they are properly conveyed and executed by Denim Designer
• Prepare design portions of tech packs with Designers, including callouts, thread, and artwork in RLM System
• Work cross-functionally with the PD Manager on materials and wash, and with the Tech Designer on fit and construction
• Help build boards under VP of Design, guidance for sketch and proto reviews
• Run through design ideas with Designers before reviews with VP of design, VP of Design to Creative Director
• Support wash development with PD Manager approving most wash comments at this stage
• Attend fittings with VP, Design
• Maintain organized records of previous trials to ensure easy access for future reference
• Review all wash, technique changes with PD Manager and ensure all is communicated and updated in RLM system as required
• Work with PD Manager to prepare seasonal description information
• Support sketching requirements as needed for seasonal line development

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential hourly rate for this position is from $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
