Location : Fort Wayne, IN

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12s Nights

Pay : $2296.80 / week

Completion Bonus : Up to $7,500 total. ( You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly specialized and resilient Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert critical care to a patient population with complex cardiac and vascular conditions. This vital role involves managing patients post-cardiac surgery, as well as those with acute heart failure, myocardial infarction, and other life-threatening cardiovascular issues. The CVICU RN is responsible for advanced hemodynamic monitoring, managing life-sustaining equipment, and implementing interventions in a high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate is a rapid critical thinker with a deep understanding of cardiovascular pathophysiology and the ability to remain calm and effective under extreme pressure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide direct, high-acuity care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor and manage complex medical devices, including intra-aortic balloon pumps, ventilators, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and other life-sustaining medications with precision.
• Perform frequent and detailed cardiovascular assessments, identifying and responding quickly to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute complex care plans.
• Educate and support patients and their families through difficult and stressful situations.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all patient care, assessments, and interventions.
