ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Los Alamos, NM 87544 (Northern New Mexico healthcare jobs) Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - 6 beds, 2 : 1 patient ratio Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM), alternating weekends Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025, End : 1 / 12 / 2026) On-Call : As needed; must be within 30 minutes of hospital when on call Float : May float to MedSurg, Emergency Room (ER), and other units Electronic Health Record : Medhost Clinicals Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780-$1910 ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for New Mexico Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience Current certifications : ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Associate's degree or higher in Nursing Proficiency in ventilator management, titrating continuous medications, and ICU patient care Fingerprinting and background check required (per New Mexico state regulations) Strong clinical skills and ability to care for patients of all ages ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU Manage ventilators and titrate continuous IV medications Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient status Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans Float to MedSurg, ER, and other clinical units as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Medhost Clinicals Participate in call rotation and respond within required timeframe Discover the unique charm of Los Alamos, New Mexico—nestled in the mountains and known for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant community, and endless outdoor recreation.
