Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a mixed-setting role covering outpatient, inpatient, and home health / hospice assignments, with a focus on pediatric care and Oregon state licensure required.
Responsibilities
Work in a combination of outpatient, inpatient, and home health / hospice settings within a rehabilitation departmentApproximately 20% inpatient and 80% outpatient caseload, with 60% of patients being pediatricServe a diverse rural community in Eastern OregonCollaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team including SLPs, OTs, PTs, nursing, and home health aidesDay shift scheduleEvaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and voice disordersCoordinate therapy activities with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal outcomesDocument patient assessments and treatments in compliance with departmental and regulatory guidelinesParticipate in continuous performance improvement and interdisciplinary team meetingsSupervise students and support personnel as required by state licensure regulationsEmphasis on supporting work-life balance and continuing educationDress code : maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a healthcare settingRequirements
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institutionSLP license in good standing with the State of Oregon (license required if applicable)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationExperience in home health, hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamBenefits
