Assembly Technician 3A - Palletizer Division

Summary

This role is responsible for daily assembly of machinery from blueprints, schematics, or verbal instructions, performing all phases of large assembly including pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical construction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Use electrical and volt meters to test circuits
- Understand electrical prints and other forms of prints
- Adjust system components
- Wire switches, print, and start wiring boxes
- Measure tape to 1 / 16" and read level
- Identify and use SAE, Metric, Fine, and Coarse fasteners
- Drill and tap by hand, air, or electric for assembly requirements
- Proficient with power tools
- Work comfortably at various heights (ladders, platforms, scissor lifts)
- Recognize basic equipment
- Create ERCs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required1-3 years in an assembly area or related field preferredLean Principles knowledgeForklift, Crane, Jib Crane certification (per Company certification)Basic layout ability (on the job training provided)Identify correct lubrication and amountBasic ERC change knowledge (on the job training provided)Intermediate knowledge in layoutsRead prints and schematicsOwn tools in a roll-around toolboxTeam environment foster and work within a teamProvide mentorshipWork on multiple projects simultaneouslyGood reading, writing, and oral communication skillsAttention to detail and consistently follow Standard Work Instructions when completing tasksTeam player by accepting new responsibilities and filling in for others when neededReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
