The Role We’re looking for a mission-aligned, detail-oriented Recruitment & Employment Specialist to support individuals through every step of their Neighborhood journey—from the moment they apply, all the way through their job search after graduation.
This role blends community outreach and relationship-building with process coordination and documentation.You’ll help identify passionate students, guide them through our admissions pipeline, and support their transition into living-wage employment.If you love connecting people with purpose and tracking real-world outcomes, this is your lane.Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Admissions Coordinate the full admissions journey :
applications, interviews, onboarding, and orientation Track student completion of pre-enrollment steps (assessments, pre-coaching, surveys, etc.) Manage internal documentation and workflow systems (Google Sheets, Salesforce, etc.) Deliver engaging, welcoming orientation sessions Conduct recruitment presentations and build partnerships with referral organizations and community leaders Employment Support Share job leads and support students and alumni in resume-building and job applications Coordinate with local employers and training providers to identify hiring opportunities Maintain relationships with hiring managers aligned to Neighborhood’s career tracks Help organize employer panels, job fairs, and informational sessions Alumni Outcomes & Reporting Conduct alumni check-ins at 30, 90, and 180 days post-graduation Track and report on employment metrics, job placements, and student wage outcomes Maintain updated dashboards for program evaluation and grant reporting Assist with occasional alumni engagement opportunities (e.g., workshops, reunions) Who You Are You have 3–5 years of experience in recruitment, admissions, workforce development, nonprofit programming, or career services You’re a people person with professionalism, warmth, and follow-through You’re highly organized, with the ability to juggle workflows and keep deadlines on track You’re equally comfortable presenting in a room and tracking data in a spreadsheet You believe in the potential of people and want to remove the barriers that hold them back Preferred Skills & Tools CRM / database experience (Salesforce preferred) Strong project and time management skills Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) Comfort with community engagement and public speaking Why Join Neighborhood?You’ll join a team committed to justice, dignity, and real economic impact You’ll help transform lives—and get to witness the results You’ll work alongside passionate teammates building a bold future for our region Powered by JazzHR
