Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking determined leaders to join us in our mission to help others and serve our local communities.
Our Retail Stores support and even provide funding to different Goodwill programs that assist people with obtaining meaningful employment and bettering their overall quality of life.
As a Store Manager, you would be an essential part of ensuring the success of our stores and Goodwill’s mission.
$1000.00 sign-on bonus after completing six months

Responsibilities :
Responsible for all aspects of store operations, financial performance, personnel management, all front-end cash registers, floor and visual processes, loss prevention, and enforcing all company policies and procedures.Managing a Goodwill retail store within the agency’s established policyRecruiting, training, and supervising retail team members in retail operation proceduresDelegating work assignments to appropriate associates and ensuring team members complete assigned tasksCreating team member work schedules to achieve optimum customer service, merchandise display, store security, and expense controlRecommending and administering appropriate discipline to team members as neededOrdering merchandise to stock storeMaintaining records of sales data and bank depositsPlanning attractive merchandise displays that make effective use of the sales areaAttending marketing and sales meetingsMaintaining store premises and grounds in compliance with agency safety and housekeeping practicesParticipating in community business activities such as merchant associations or local Chamber of Commerce meetingsPosition Requirements :
High school graduate or equivalent,Experience or education in Business and MarketingTwo years of experience in a management / supervisory positionAbility to supervise and train in shipping / receiving functions, stock duties, merchandising, cashiering, and customer service retailAvailability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as necessaryWilling to travel or relocateBeing prepared for considerable standing, reaching, lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and pulling.
