Metro Equipment & Sheetmetal , part of the McCrea family of companies , is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in transporting materials and equipment to job sites and fabrication facilities, supporting the daily operations of our HVAC and sheet metal teams.

We’re looking for a driver who values teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail — someone who takes pride in getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Duties :

  • Deliver Materials : Safely transport HVAC and sheet metal products to various job sites and company locations.
  • Plan Efficient Routes : Determine the most economical and time-effective routes for deliveries.
  • Vehicle Care : Conduct routine inspections, basic maintenance, and ensure your vehicle is clean, safe, and ready for use.
  • Safety Compliance : Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to maintain a secure driving environment.
  • Assist as Needed : Support warehouse and yard operations when required, ensuring smooth daily workflow.

Physical Requirements :

  • Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.
  • Lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work in outside weather conditions, occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, and poor driving conditions.

    • License Requirements :

  • Valid DOT certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Must pass DOT medical evaluation and required drug screening.

    • Desired Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
  • Ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
